I think there is room for all kinds of self-expression and different types of “poetry.” The non-narrative poets such as dadaists, surrealists and concrete poets are trying to stretch the definition. They tend to be more interested in the form rather than connecting with the reader…some poets are really bothered by that. I don’t mind it so much, I just think of it as an art form.

I immerse myself in my favourite poets, buying their books, exploring their worlds and in the process I lose sight of what is happening ‘out there’, all the crazy beautiful ways people express themselves so thank you for sharing this link. I liked it (a lot). Even the scribbles and squiggles. I think if we try (and maybe it happens more when we’re older) we can read meaning it almost anything.
