A glass menagerie
crystal animals,
light filtered through blinds
makes them fluid on the wall,
moving as if they have
something important to show us,
as if this is a cave wall,
as if we know this world
by the shadows it throws.

One wonders what Plato would have thought of the current crop of cave dwellers… ~
