Driving home from the doctor’s appointment my mind wandered over itself in a random way…all the epithets are accidental monuments putting the lie to any notion of an unfettered mind. The unwanted words roll, marbles on glass, through my thoughts and I am unbalanced, soiled, humbled. There is the childhood steeped in hatred. The world of bitter rage rupturing tendons, veins and hearts. If I do not escape this defiled mind, if I do not flee, do not run, then I will stand and be one with the lesser men.
