We learned
it is less interesting
to know than wonder.
So we closed the drape
with its bindweed pattern
and let the sun run
through the lines.
We found so many of our
questions could be handled this way
not answered or laid to rest
just packed away
unsoiled by what we might say.
Still, there was something we
wanted to ask each other.
It required we hold hands
and walk out on the wire
where the only question that matters
is how far to fall before letting go?
Answers and questions are much on my mind these days. I like how this conveys the appeal of questions, of not-knowing.
It is so often better to wonder, to find comfort in uncertainty.
Thanks for sharing this. Beautifully written, enjoyed reading this… Thanks.
