Oh, they are not creepy at all, with all the golden light around the shadow, the edges are not sharp, and the shiny wood and the yellow wall … maybe the vagueness of the two in the middle remind on the haziness of some memories … yes, as you say, we know the world only by the shadow it throws ( and the light …) … do I know the pictures, it seems to me I know them.
Yes of course you are right about the light, without light no shadows only the darkness of the cave.
I wonder about your familiar feelings for the pictures. Certainly each shadow is unique, but they are also many times indistinguishable one from another especially as they are closer together. I believe you must have a keen eye for shadows but even for you are they sometimes too much alike?
Or do you mean you feel as if you have seen these pictures somewhere before? I am not sure if your statement is literal or artistic.
Could it be, that I have seen picture no. 007 somewhere else ? – The shadow is something quite unique (think of Peter Pan’s one) but also the thing which unites, because, as you say when they are closer you can’t distinguish one from another. It’s our shadows which really is like a black velvet bond … just musings on a long days evening …

There is something, some quality in your photographs and writing that appeals to me in a way I cannot explain. Perhaps that word ‘inspiration’ describes it best. It is true that I have suddenly become more productive since meeting you online.
