speaking of poet laureates…going to a reading that will include the poet laureate for Washington State. So I’m pretty psyched.

yeah. His poems can be rather hit or miss for me but that one blew me away. So much for the mind to run off with.
His non-fiction books are always hits for me. They have rather deeply shaped how I think of poetry and the writing of poems.

Er–I should say his ‘about poetry’ books rather than his collections of poems, not exactly ‘non-fiction’ although I guess poetic theory books do fall into that category, the term ‘non-fiction’ is a little too broad and non-specific.
