How much clarity is required?
The light through the window tantalizes an answer,
if I could but read the tattoo of its mottled runes.
The breeze weaves eddies in the dusty air,
and a "shush" in the leaves with its velvet touch.
Distant thunder tumbles. At the edge of vision
the bracelet of horizon frames my view with a purple glow.
In the valley the houses are full, children play games,
dogs lift their heads, all while tulips spread petals.
